Festival

The Rovinj Summer Festival, founded in 1996, is a recognized and distinctive classical music festival that, from season to season, organizes a diverse range of attractive and carefully curated musical projects, featuring numerous prominent domestic and international artists who consistently provide new experiences.

It was established primarily as a result of the extensive experience of mezzo-soprano Katja Markotić, inspired by similar festivals and supported by fellow musicians and numerous acquaintances who are fans of classical music. Such a decision found fertile ground in the most beautiful city in Istria, Rovinj, where top-level classical concerts are held in attractive historical venues.

Therefore, the Rovinj Festival, through performances by world-renowned soloists, ensembles, and chamber orchestras from Europe, Japan, Russia, Korea, the USA, Mexico, and Australia, has gained all the attributes of a relevant international chamber music festival.

The summer concert projects are supported by the City of Rovinj, the Tourist Board of the City of Rovinj, and Maistra d.d., who recognized the importance of its cultural significance and its major contribution to enriching the tourist offer of the City of Rovinj as a destination.
